Bio:
Preeti G. Shah has been practicing law for over 35 years and has proved to be one of the most experienced and competent attorneys in the Southern California.
Ms. Shah specializes in representing homeowner policy cases. Specifically, cases where injury claims are filed by those individuals who were conducting work on the homeowner’s property. Ms. Shah has also represented several public entities, including several school districts.
Success:
Within the realm of homeowner litigation, Ms. Shah has successfully tried several cases. Most notably is the case of Ramiro Haro v. Kenneth Nepove. In this case, it was ruled that the applicant was not an employee of the homeowner. In April 2012, in the Court of Appeal case of Lester Guerrero v Duane White, Ms. Shah successfully argued again that the applicant was not an employee of the residence.
Ms. Shah has also successfully represented the Los Angeles Unified School District. In May 2011, Ms. Shah proved that certain presumptions do not pertain to school police officers in the case of Jackie Thompson v. Los Angeles Unified School District. Ms. Shah has also tried several lien cases. They include the case of Roger Schleifstein v. Leslie’sPool Supply, where she successfully defeated the $300,000+ lien of Grossman Medical Group.

Ms. Shah utilizes her expertise in a variety of seminars. She has presented the topic of determining if a case belongs in the civil arena or if it should be presented before the Workers Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB). Ms. Shah has also collaborated with civil attorneys on overlapping civil and workers’ compensation matters.
Education:
Preeti G. Shah earned her Bachelor’s of Commerce degree in 1979 from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics in Bombay, India. She received her Bachelor’s of Law degree from the Government Law College in Bombay, India in 1983. She completed her bar admissions for California in 1989.
Bio:
Ms. Matian has successfully defended both large and small employers against multiple high exposure and catastrophic cases involving 132a filings, S&W allegations with corresponding OSHA violations, and Statute of Limitations defenses. In addition, she has aggressively and strategically settled her cases far below the reserved budget by mitigating overall litigation costs using evidence-based medicine, restructured MSAs, and experts in toxicology and epidemiology.

Specifically, Ms. Matian is a frequent speaker at workers' compensation conferences throughout California including PARMA, CSIA, CCWC, CWC & RISK. She is also an active member of the California Coalition on Workers' Compensation Conference Committee which focuses on advancing legislative reform, leadership, and advocacy in the workers' compensation system.
Education:
Ms. Matian graduated with dual degrees in Communications and Biology from the University of California, Davis with the highest honors from the Davis School of Law: Moot Court, Intern for the 9th Circuit Appellate Court.
Bio:
Mr. Green’s prominent and longstanding career began in 1985, in civil litigation. In 1990, Mr. Green began to focus on insurance defense, including doctor’s depositions, catastrophic injury depositions, and fraud litigation.
Mr. Green concentrates on worker’s compensation defense on behalf of the employer, the insurance carrier, and CIGA, through appeal and also provides services for acute and willful misconduct claims. He also handles cases regarding employee discrimination for filing or planning to file a claim. In 2005.

Experience within the realm of medical jurisdiction has provided Mr. Green with the opportunity to give various presentations to the Worker’s Compensation Section of the State Bar. Such displays emphasize conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension, focusing on case examples where premise exists for public entity employees.
Additionally, Mr. Green has also lectured on the topics of the Patterson v. Oaks Farm, Traumatic Brain Injury cases from the defense perspective, the Scope of Chiropractic, The Synergistic Effect, and Kite case. Some of these have contributed to significant developments in case law.
Education:
Steven M. Green earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Chicago in 1982. He went on to earn his law degree from the University of Oregon in 1985.
